Week 6 Blog Questions

This week we made a planner for what we will do for the next few weeks and edited the class wiki so that there was more information about the diferent topics also i cleaned up my blog so that it has alot better presentation.

I found editing the wiki hard because people were already editing the page so you couldn’t also when you finally got in the info you wanted to add had just been from the previous person this was the most difficult thing for me. But the changing of my blog took ages because these computers are really slow.

I learnt this week about how to use most of the features on wordpress that were just there i had no idea what they were for untill this week when i played around with the functions a bit until i discovered what they could do which helped me greatly.

I need to know most of the stuff we have been finding on the internet because wiki’s are all knew to me also about how to make my avatar work because it hasn’t lately and it gets really frustrating.

I will find the info about wiki’s on a reliable website on the internet preferably not a wiki because the info could be false or irrelevent and i will find the info on the avatar from someone in the class who has made their avatar work already.

This week i got nothing done because we were at camp and the athletics carnival was on monday which left no lessons for work.

Week 4 blog Questions

This week I researched a bit about wikis and pod casting and I have realised that wiki’s are not very accurate sources because anyone in the world can edit or manipulate the pages even though their are people watching them they can miss some things.

I found the research hard because if you searched it in a search engine it comes up with wikipedia or other sites and you can’t ask about the risk of wiki’s on a wiki.

I learnt that wiki’s such as wikipedia usefull but in high school or Uni it can get you an instant fail if you use wiki’s to find your info because it can be changed at any time by anyone.

I need to know about what pod casts are and what they are used for because i really didn’t get to research them because i was to busy working on my blog and the wiki’s.

I will find the information on the internet or i will ask Rob or Micheal because they know alot more about it then i do.

Week 3 Blog Questions

This week we had to search the web for a good and a bad web blog it was hard to find a relevent web blog that was good or bad so i used KeybladeX’s web blog because it was full of accurate and relevent information. and used Jackblack1993 asthe poor one because his infromation was about how his day had been. we also did the personal learning plan powerpoint which was still very difficult because i couldn’t understand what some of the questions were asking.

Well i found the searching the web for blogs difficult because that was unusual terrain for me but after a while of pointless searching i found what i was looking for. Also the personal learning plan was difficult because of the way some of the questions were set out.

This week i learnt about what makes a web blog good and it wasn’t presentation like i thought it was the accuracy of the information and relevancy of the facts. There are other important things but those are the ones i believe to be most important.

I need to know how to make my avatar work because i haven’t been so succesful so far.

 I will find the information from the information from the internet or from my freinds who are good with computers. 

Safety and privacy while blogging

Watch out for child predetors,Spammers and Phishing viruses

watch out for people that you don’t know sending strange messages to you e.g osama talking about pokemon

Be aware of strange emails with links because they can and propbably will contain viruses such as spyware.

Don’t put your or other peoples details/photos on your blog

Week 2 blog Questions

This week i published a section on the online behaviour guide and learnt how to comment.

I didn’t find any of the areas difficult because we didn’t do anything to complex this week.

I learnt how to make a blog and about how to improve one.

I need to know how to make most of the features in the blog i don’t know what they are yet because it’s my first time with blogs.

I can find this information from Keybladex.
